Sepicalm VG Whitens, Lightens And Soothes the Skin
Sepicalm VG offers a novel mode of action with the dual benefit of the modulation of inflammation mediators and the reduction of the genetic expression of tyrosinase, a key pigmentation enzyme, at the early stage of melanogenesis. According to Seppic, it decreases cutaneous pigmentation induced by stress or through the aging process proven by in vitro and in vivo efficacy after two months of treatment. The ingredient can be incorporated up to 3% in all types of whitening, lightening and soothing products.

Silab Launches Whitonyl for Skin Depigmentation
Brown spots result directly from chronic exposure to sunlight. These pigment disorders accentuate with age and are a considerable esthetic problem. Silab proposes an improved complexion with the launch of Whitonyl, its new biological concept of skin depigmentation. Rich in xylose and galactose from palmaria palmata, a red algae, Whitonyl limits melanogenesis by inhibiting the activity of tyrosinase and the quantity of melanin synthesized; reduces the synthesis of the protein anchoring complex, indispensable for the transport of melanosomes to keratinocytes; inhibits the synthesis of Stem Cell Factor (SCF) thereby controlling photo-induced pigmentation. It is recommended for all lightening and depigmenting face and body care products.

Natural Sourcing Introduces Organic Jojoba
Natural Sourcing has launched a clear and odorless organic jojoba—INCI: Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil—to its line of nutritive vegetable lipids for cosmeceutical uses. The long, straight-chain liquid wax esters are expeller-pressed from the seeds and then gently refined and decolorized to produce a virtually clear and odorless liquid that possesses all of the nutritive and stable properties of traditional jojoba.
Jojoba provides excellent non-occlusive, non-greasy moisture control. Studies confirm the effective use of jojoba as a natural anti-inflammatory ingredient in skin care. Furthermore, the high content of natural tocopherols and the absence of polyunsaturated components give jojoba a remarkably high oxidative stability index.
New Mascara Concepts from HCP Packaging
HCP Packaging USA, Inc. unveiled three revolutionary developments in mascara application concepts: HCP’s Triad Application Concept, Volumizer Application Concept and I-Brush- Molded Mascara brush concept. HCP’s patented Triad application concept offers multiple performance characteristics in the same delivery system all within the initial product application. The curved brush design opens up the filaments along the product feed groove. In the Volumizer feature, the asymmetrical triangular applicator profile provides improved retention of product within the embodiment of the brush and superior curling/lifting characteristics. HCP’s I-Brush features a molded mascara brush application concept. The design features a filament sleeve with bristles in a superior geometrical array molded in soft polymer and assembled over a solid wand.
