Beauty Buzz: MAC in Lillyland Collection
It’s a match made in cosmetics heaven – at least for me! When I found out M·A·C’s latest limited edition collection pays homage to one of my favorite fashion designers ever, Lilly Pulitzer, I was ecstatic. This classic resort brand channels leisurely days on the beach all-year round with its retro prints in punchy colors. It also celebrated its 50th anniversary this year with a multitude of innovative rollouts, such as a limited edition Jeep Wrangler and handbag collection coming up this spring with LeSportsac.
According to M·A·C, the brand meets the “lore and legend” that is Lilly Pulitzer with its new cosmetics collection. The line features everything from a Lipgelee ($14) in Preppy—a bold glitter-y blue-pink fuschia with a tasty cake flavor and high shine—to the Pearlmatte Eye Shadow ($19.50), a tri-color pan stamped with a floral design. The product’s main hue is a subtle shimmery medium pink ideal for the entire lid; it also features a sage green with gold pearl perfect to layer over eyeliner and a true white metallic hue that could be used for pop at the inner eyes or under the eyebrow.
