Bare Minerals is seeing opportunity in duos and even quads with its new Ready to Wear 2.0 and 4.0 solid eyeshadows, out in stores now. Tied in to a trendy advertising campaign, Be a Force of Beauty, the company is looking to capture the attention of young professionals who was a smart, clean cosmetic look that goes from day to night—and it doesn’t disappoint.

Created through a unique cold-pressed method, the company combined its proprietary SeaNutritive Mineral Complex—composed of positively-charged sea minerals extracted from nutrient-rich algae and seaweed—with powerful antioxidants, cold-pressed borage oil, caffeine and cucumber. It looks like a powder but feels like a cream with a non-drying formula that delivers a beautifully smooth application of vibrant long-wearing color plus incredible skin-renewing benefits, according to the company.

Happi tested the 4.0 quad ($30) in The Elements—a color story of beige shimmer, apricot matte, teal shimmer and matte pale grey.  Paired with Urban Decay’s primer, the teal and grey colors lasted almost 12 hours…this is a longwearing formulation, indeed! The beige shimmer works well for highlighting the eyebrow area as well. However, the matte peach faded into my skin…but this hue might work for those who are a bit more fair and/or are looking for a natural eye look. All in all, the pigments are true but with a smooth feel. Bare Minerals fans are going to go gaga over these pressed eyeshadows!
