The Fragrance Foundation honored excellence and creative achievement in the fragrance industry at a ceremony held last night at Avery Fisher Hall in New York City. Harvey Fierstein, who received the 2003 Tony Award as Best Actor for his role in Hairspray hosted the event.
The winners included: Jennifer Lopez for Celebrity Fragrance Star of the Year; The Healing Garden Waters Sheer Passion by Coty Beauty US for Women's Fragrance Introduction of the Year - Mass Appeal (drug and chain stores/private label/direct sell); Chance by Chanel for Women's Fragrance Introduction of the Year - Luxe (specialty and/or department stores); Vera Wang by Unilever Prestige for Women's Fragrance Introduction of the Year - Nouveau Niche (specialty stores and/or department stores); Club Med My Ocean For Him by Coty Beauty US for Men's Fragrance Introduction of the Year - Mass Appeal; Polo Ralph Lauren Blue from Ralph Lauren Fragrances for Men's Fragrance Introduction of the Year - Luxe; Marc Jacobs Men by American Designer Fragrances LLC, Parfums Givenchy, Inc. for Men's Fragrance Introduction of the Year - Nouveau Niche.
