Jean Hoehn Zimmerman will step down from her position as executive vice president of sales and marketing for fragrance and beaute at Chanel, Inc. in April. Ms. Zimmerman has been at the company for 27 years.
"I think it's a good time to go," Ms. Zimmerman said. "I have more to do with the past of the brand. Other people can take it into the future."
Ms. Zimmerman's decision followed the announcement that her boss and mentor, Arie Kopelman, would step down as president and chief operating officer to become vice chairman four years ago. Maureen Chiquet replaces Ms. Zimmerman as president and chief operating officer.
