Saks Fifth Avenue is one of the recent retailers creating a men’s grooming area separate from the main beauty floor. Last fall, the company built a 1,000-square-foot men’s grooming space on the seventh floor of its Fifth Avenue flagship. Now, they have partnered with stylist John Allan Meing to open a 1,500-square-foot area also on the seventh floor.
The official unveiling of the area is projected for mid-October. The space will feature six chairs with shampoo, conditioner and cutting services available. A separate treatment room will offer facials and pedicures. An 800-square foot section provides apparel from multiple categories, styles and labels for clients while they receive services. Shoeshine stations, sectional sofas, a 400-gallon aquarium and coffee and martini bars are also provided.
