For the fourth consecutive year, For Every Body, a Utah-based candle company, focused its efforts on raising awareness of breast cancer to help women learn more about the disease and how they can prevent it.
This year For Every Body donated 1,500 breast cancer candles to hospitals in Utah at the beginning of October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Each woman who received a mammogram in October received a free candle. A postcard accompanies each candle with facts about breast cancer. The 9-oz. plumeria-scented candle called “Hope for a Cure” was created in 1999 to support the crusade against breast cancer. It is sold in several retail locations throughout the U.S. A portion of all proceeds go toward breast cancer research. “Hope for a Cure” candles can also be purchased at any of For Every Body’s Utah locations or at www.foreverybody.com.
