Fantastic Sams Supports Locks of Love

October 31, 2005

Fantastic Sams full-service hair care franchise presented Locks of Love, the non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss, with the single largest donation in the charity’s history at the Fantastic Sams annual convention in Scottsdale, AZ.
Karen Keilt, the Fantastic Sams team member who spearheaded the company’s year-long efforts for the organization, presented Locks of Love President Madonna Coffman with a check on behalf of the Fantastic Friends Foundation in the amount of $146,316.45.
“After a year of hard work, the Fantastic Friends Foundation is very proud to present this donation to Locks of Love on behalf of our salons,” said Karen Keilt. “The reward for the Fantastic Sams family is knowing that we will be touching the families of so many in need, in essence, extending our own family.”
In 2005, the Fantastic Family Foundation, a recently formed arm of Fantastic Sams dedicated to charitable causes, launched several key efforts to raise funds for Locks of Love: National Cut-a-Thon, Fantastic Friends Bracelets and Cartridge Recycling Program.
Fantastic Sams top vendors Joico and Farouk also helped out with respective donations of $10,000.00 and $9,024.00.
