Mary Kay Inc. has donated $1 million to support dermatology research at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. The gift, which will create the Mary Kay Inc. Distinguished Chair in Dermatology, was made to Southwestern Medical Foundation as part of the medical center’s $500 million Innovations in Medicine campaign.
“The money generated by this generous endowment will allow UT Southwestern to recruit and support a scientist capable of maintaining a world-class dermatology research program,” said Dr. Paul Bergstresser, professor and chairman of dermatology at UT Southwestern.
W. Plack Carr, president and CEO of Southwestern Medical Foundation, said, “The foundation is honored to play a role in this wonderful commitment from a landmark Dallas company, Mary Kay Inc., in support of groundbreaking dermatological research being done at UT Southwestern.”
