Mineral Water Gains Popularity Throughout Asia

October 31, 2005

JAPAN: Hydrotherapy-based products are reaching the market in greater numbers now that mineral water is increasingly used for skin care. Demand is also growing due to an increasing number of women who suffer from sensitive skin, allergies and dermatitis.
Tokyo store operator Sony Plaza Co. is stocking 25 kinds of mineral water-based sprays, up 150% from the previous year. Demand for such products typically increases in summer when skin becomes dry due to travel or increased exposure to air conditioning.
