Blyth Expects Earnings To Rise in 2003

November 11, 2005

Blyth Inc. announced that it expects first quarter earnings to be up slightly from a year earlier, helped in large part by strong sales from its PartyLite home-show division. The company said first quarter earnings should range from $.34-.36 a share, up from $.33 a share a year earlier. However, Blyth executives warned that first quarter results will be restrained by an early Easter and by recently-acquired giftware brand Midwest of Cannon Falls, which typically reports a first-quarter loss.

For the full fiscal year 2003, earnings should rise 30% to $1.88 a share.
