Women are more likely to believe they will get breast cancer than suffer a heart attack, but most discuss other health concerns with doctors such as weight and exercise, according to the Avon Women’s Heath Index survey. Sixty-eight percent said spending time with family and friends takes precedence over pursuing a healthier lifestyle, but the good news is that 66% had mammograms. Nearly half of the women said women’s health issues get less attention than men’s, but 75% describe their own health and health care as excellent or good. And 36% think their health care has improved in the past five years.
