Degussa Reorganizes U.S. Distributor Network

November 11, 2005

Degussa Corporation has reorganized the U.S. distribution network for its care specialties and industrial specialties business lines.

The new organization will enable enhanced customer service and support for increasingly diverse customer needs, according to Degussa executives.
The care specialties business unit, including the textile care and personal and home care business lines, markets raw materials, additives and active ingredients for the skin care, hair care, detergent, softener and cleaning products industries.

Industry specialties, a business line of the oligomers and silicones business unit, specializes in developing and formulating organo-modified silicone- and oleochemical-based performance additives for managing surface processes in a number of different markets.

Seidler Chemical Company will represent Degussa in the Northeast for the personal and home care business line, Glenn Corp. will manage the Midwest and R.O.S.S. will handle the Southwest. Taylor Chemical will manage home care in the Southeast with the exception of Florida. Personal care in the southeast as well as Florida will be handled by Ed Leonard.
