Dr. Yin-Tung Wang of Aloecorp, Broom-field, CO, received the Yun-Ho Lee award of scientific merit at the International Aloe Science Council (IASC) annual meeting last month in Las Vegas. The award is based on the submission of papers on novel aloe vera studies from around the world.
Dr. Wang’s paper, “Severeness of leaf harvest and supplemental nutrients on long-term leaf initiation, growth and yield of Aloe barbadensis miller,” was the winning submission for 2002. “Studies of this caliber continue to support widespread usage of aloe vera in many nutritional supplements and skin care products to maintain health,” said Mick Anderson, president, Aloecorp.
The Yun-Ho Lee award was established in 1997 by B. William Lee, a chairman of the board of a global family of health and wellness companies, in honor of his father, Yun-Ho Lee, founder and chairman of Namyang Aloe Co. Ltd., Korea.
