J&J Earns Dibenzoylmethane Sunscreen Patent

Patent No. US 6,444,195 B1: Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Skill-man, NJ, has been awarded a patent for a method of stabilizing a composition with a dibenzoylmethane-derived UVA absorber by adding a diester or polyester of a napthalene dicarboxylic acid and a benzophenone derivative to the composition and exposing it to light.
