CHINA: Japan-based Kao Corp. has established a wholly-owned holding company in Shanghai to expand local operations. Kao (China) Holding Co. will supervise the three Kao firms that make and sell household chemical products in China.

Kao’s skin care products will also be sold in China. The company will initially sell its Sofina brand at Shangai department stores and will later expand to Beijing, Guangzhou and other major cities, executives said.
