But executives are confident that Shell can become the leading global manufacturer of petrochemical products and stay true to its sustainable and community-invested heritage.

“The economy is the worst it has been in the past 20 years, but we believe we are at the bottom and can only go up. We see the light at the end of the tunnel, but we hope it’s not a train,” quipped Ms. Keeth.
