Huntsman Corp., Houston, TX, was hon- ored with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Southwest Region 2002 National Wetlands Conservation award in August. Huntsman was recognized for its initiatives to protect and provide a habitat for the declining population of mottled ducks.

The program provides enhanced nesting areas, natural foods, water and a habitat for the ducks. Company executives said Huntsman will expand its wetlands preservation by 200 acres. The Mottled Duck Nesting program was initiated in 1988.
