CHINA: The Shangai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau confiscated and destroyed a batch of lipstick imported from France. The packaging claimed the product was made from purely organic materials. However, on inspection it was found to contain bovine components, which were banned in the wake of mad cow disease fears.
Officials stressed that importers who falsify cosmetic ingredients will be punished.
