Clariant Masterbatches Opens Beijing Plant

November 14, 2005

CHINA: Clariant Masterbatches, Muttenz, Switzerland, has opened its third production site in China, located in Beijing. The new 2,700 square foot facility will provide color and additive masterbatches for local and international customers in northern China. Executives said the operation is expected to be online by January and was designed to increase the speed of color matching.
Clariant will also relocate its current Shanghai operations to a new 1000 square foot location by May of 2004 to improve service to the automotive, packaging, computer, communication and consumer electronics businesses. The Guangzhou location also added 700 meters this past spring to create a creative, open office environment.
