Color Cosmetics Summit

l CANADA: The third annual Color Cosmetics World Summit will be held October 22-23 at the Renaissance Hotel, Montreal. The conference will focus on the mega trends, technical innovations and new market opportunities for functional colors and additives in the $20 billion cosmetic industry.
“Conference sessions will cover the market drivers and growth outlook for pigments, as well as formulating additives such as substrates, fillers, dispersants and emollients,” said Dr. H.D. Olmstead, manager of pigment studies at conference organizer Intertech Corp., Portland, ME. “Presentations will also cover new ways to test and color-match pigments and manufacturing and formulating issues. Emphasis will be given to the market trends, growth prospects, new business development opportunities, regulatory and safety issues and the ever-changing definition of beauty and its effect on color cosmetics.”
