Degussa Expands Brazilian Facility

November 14, 2005

Degussa is expanding its hydrogen peroxide production facility in Barro do Riacho, Brazil. Construction is expected to be completed by the second half of this year. The multi-million dollar investment will increase by 50% the facility’s overall annual production of hydrogen peroxide, according to executives.

“Not only is Degussa investing in production capacity, but we have also improved our logistics lead through strategic investments that include capabilities to supply product via pipeline, as well as through rail transport,” said Shawn Abrams, senior vice president of Degussa’s global peroxygen chemicals business line.
