Dow Corning, Midland, MI, has achieved its goal of successfully implementing the Responsible Care codes on environment, health and safety practices, executives announced. The milestone, reached one year ahead of schedule, involved implementing the six Responsible Care codes, a voluntary initiative of the worldwide chemical industry promoting continuous improvement in safety and protection of health and the environment.
The six codes cover community awareness and emergency response; product stewardship; distribution; pollution prevention; employee health and safety and process safety.
Dow Corning now offers customers innovative environment, health and safety (EH&S) service options including toxicology, environmental and chemistry testing and consulting, chemical and product inventory registrations, product compliance reviews and other related services.
