DuPont Chemical and ServiceMaster Sign Agreement

November 14, 2005

DuPont Chemical Solutions Enterprise (DCSE), Wilmington, DE became the single-source manufacturer and formulating partner for the ServiceMaster, Memphis, TN cleaning and disinfecting product line.

Under the terms of the agreement, DCSE will now manufacture more than 100 ServiceMaster Clean and select Furniture Medic products for North American and UK-based customers.

DCSE will also begin an R&D program to foster new product development and innovation to bring superior, environmentally-sensitive, science-based products to the institutional cleaning industry, executives said.

“DuPont brings the miracle of science, in this case our science-based formulation technology, to a company that is a market leader in their industry,” said Thomas Samples, DuPont Clean & Disinfect market leader. “We believe the ServiceMaster Clean and Furniture Medic product lines will improve cleaning performance using next-generation chemistry that will exceed new regulations currently being considered for the institutional cleaning industry.”
