DuPont Engineering and
Wuxi Form Joint Venture
● A joint venture between DuPont Engineering
Polymers, Wilmington, DE, and
Wuxi Xingda Nylon Co., Wuxi, China,
will be finalized in the fourth quarter of
2003, pending regulatory approvals.
The agreement will provide a variety of
brush filaments to meet the needs of
customers globally, according to company
executives.
The joint venture will operate as
three legal entities: DuPont Xingda
Filaments Co. Ltd., DuPont Filaments
Europe BV and DuPont Filaments
Americas LLC. Approximately 500
employees will serve customers’ filament
needs in more than 60 countries,
DuPont executives said. Applications
include toothbrushes, paintbrushes,
cosmetics and the abrasive and specialty
industrial segments.
