l Estee Lauder Cos. Inc. will open new cosmetics departments in Kohl’s Corp. department stores, moving Estée Lauder into a faster-growing, lower-priced outlet than its typical department store venues. Kohl’s will carry exclusive brands to be developed by BeautyBank, a new Estée Lauder division. The deal makes Estée Lauder the sole provider of branded cosmetics at Kohls’ 542 stores. Openings have not yet been announced. Rival department store chain J.C. Penney Co. Inc. ended a similar deal with Avon Products Inc. in January to expand and upgrade its popular women’s accessories section.
In other news, Estée Lauder has updated Resil-ience Lift moisturizers with Resilience Lift Extra-Firm-ing Revitalizing mask. Exec-utives said the skin is firmed in just one application. The star ingredient, sweet almond protein biopolymers, smoothes, tightens and lifts slackened skin. A lipid complex of soybean, barley, millet and sandalwood helps to rebuild the lipid layer. Bioconverted antioxidants also work to prevent collagen breakdown. Lastly, sugar and yeast exfoliate and brighten the skin. The mask turns an iridescent pink when ready to remove.
Re-Nutriv Ultimate Lifting crème contains 54 ingredients such as white platinum, precious South Sea pearls and eyebright flower extract to lift, hydrate and plump up the eye area. It also reduces the appearance of undereye circles.
