INDIA: Consumer goods manufacturer, Hindustan Lever Ltd. is poised to increase quarterly profit sales of home and personal care products. Due to poor monsoon seasons in recent years, sales dwindled as consumers opted to spend their spare money on travel and education instead of personal products. The company, however, has responded by focusing on “power” brands, product innovation, cutting down on advertising costs and departing from non-core areas such as animal feeds and adhesives.
