IPP&D & World Congress

l The International Prestige Packaging & Design (IPP&D) Symposium will occur April 22-23 at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York. Organized by the educational department of Health and Beauty America (HBA), the conference will teach marketing and packaging executives how to utilize marketing and communications tools to strengthen brand image, increase sales impact, build prestige and enhance value.
On April 22, IPP&D will open with a keynote address by Roger Caracappa, senior vice president of global packaging at Estée Lauder, entitled, “My passion of the moment: packaging excellence.” The second keynote address, on April 23, will be delivered by Marc Gobé, president and chief executive officer of Desgrippes Gobé. He will present, “Emotional branding: connecting to people’s hearts with passion.”
Other topics include leveraging master brands, multicultural packaging, global packaging trends, symbolism and brand identity.
In other news, the World Congress will also be held April 22-23 at the Roosevelt Hotel entitled, “High Performance Ingredients & Emerging Technologies.” Organized by the Personal Care & Technology Expo (PCITX), this forum will focus on the latest cosmeceuticals, naturals, botanicals and biotechnologies. Dr. Albert Kligman of the University of Pennsylvania will deliver the keynote address, “Cosmeceuticals: the new threshold,” on April 22. Additional topics include delivery systems, market trends, encapsulation and innovative natural and synthetic products.
