Eighty-five percent of women in the U.S. think it’s important to be a competent housekeeper, second only to childcare, according to a survey for Woolite by Taylor Nelson Sofres Intersearch-Express Omnibus. Most women spend approximately 12 hours a week cleaning their homes. However the roles of cleaning are changing. Seventy-eight percent of women with spouses or partners said the men share housekeeping chores such as laundry (35%), meals (51%) and general cleaning (47%).
