Men’s Grooming To Reach $8.8

November 14, 2005

The men’s grooming product segment is expected to reach $8.8 billion by 2004, according to Philips, maker of Norelco shavers. Also, many salons are reporting an increase in male customers for manicures, haircuts and facials. Men ages 26-40 make up 53% of Canadian spa MenEssentials’ customer base. Industry experts said the key to the men’s market is simplicity. Jim Miller, founder and principal of Sausalito, CA-based California North spa line said, “Spas offering the sanctuary clients seek, away from schedules and cell phones, with products clients can understand and easily use at home, allow for more retail business.”
