Ondeo Nalco Acquired
By Investor Group
● Private equity firms The Blackstone
Group, Apollo Management LP and
Goldman Sachs Capital Partners collectively
signed a $4.2 billion agreement
to acquire Ondeo Nalco from Suez
SA. Naperville, IL-based Ondeo Nalco
generated revenues of more than $2.6
billion in 2002, according to company
executives.
“We are very pleased to reach an
agreement with Suez, with whom we
have had a long-standing relationship,
to purchase Nalco,” said Stephen
Schwarzman, president and chief executive
officer, The Blackstone Group.
