P&G Chooses Plastipak for
Heavy Duty Liquid Containers
● Plastic Packaging will supply containers
for Procter & Gamble’s heavy-duty liquid
detergent business. P&G’s HDL
products include Tide, Cheer, Era and
Gain. The agreement enables P&G
and Plastipak to jointly expand production
to support the companies’
North Am-erican HDL business in
Pineville, LA.
Technologies to be utilized at the
new Pineville facility include Plastipak’s
proprietary Gem-Pak high-output
blow molding production systems.
The new site will be located on 62
acres and will encompass 500,000 sq.
ft., at an investment of more than $45
million. The site is tentatively planned
for completion at the end of the first
quarter of 2004
