P&G Urges Use of Detergent Residue Model

l JAPAN: Procter & Gamble wants environmental research laboratories to use its Tamagawa computer simulation model to evaluate the impact of detergent on river environments. The model takes into account population size, amounts of detergent per person, water treatment plants and septic tanks. The Japanese Soap and Detergent Association currently uses the model.
