SOCMA Honors Facilities with Responsible Care Awards

The Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufac-turers Association (SOCMA) recognized winners of its third annual Responsible Care awards program Dec. 8 at the organization’s annual dinner in New York City.

Winners, who were chosen for the outstanding Responsible Care programs they have in place, included Nufarm Specialty Products, Lobeco, SC (one-100 employees); the Callery Chemical Company, Evans, PA (101-250 employees) and Rhodia Inc., Baltimore (251 plus employees).

In addition, 53 SOCMA member facilities received the Achievement award, based on thorough implementation of Responsible Care. A complete list of winners is located on SOCMA's website, www.socma.org.
