Solvay and Ausimont Merge

The Solvay Group, headquartered in Brus-sels, merged its fluoropolymers activities last month with those of Ausimont to form a new company, Solvay Solexis. The company produces and markets fluorinated materials for technologically advanced applications. The Solvay Group acquired Ausimont in May 2002.
Solvay Solexis is headquartered in Bollate, Italy. The organization will maintain 1,800 employees, including 250 researchers, and will operate production sites and commercial branches in Bollate, Bussi, Porto Marghera and Spinetta Maregno, Italy; Thorofare, NJ; Marshallton, DE; Belle Mead, NJ and Orange, TX.
