Trillium Purchases P&G Soap Plant

CANADA: Trillium Health Care Products Inc., Newmarket, Ontario, bought Procter & Gamble’s Ivorydale bar soap plant in Cincinnati, OH, for an undisclosed sum. This move will make Trillium one of the largest soap manufacturers in North America. The plant, which will be renamed St. Barnard Soap Co., will continue to produce P&G’s Zest, Ivory, Oil of Olay and Safeguard soaps. Trillium’s total annual sales are expected to reach more than $300 million.
