l Patent No. US 6,635,676 B2: Regents of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, patented a composition containing an oil-in-water emulsion comprising an oil component and a quaternary ammonium compound. The oil component is selected from plant oil, fish oil, flavor oil, water insoluble vitamins, mineral oil or motor oil. The emulsion is antimicrobial against bacteria, virus, fungi and spores.
