Englewood Cliffs, NJ-based Rit, a division of Unilever-Bestfoods, has released Sun Guard, a laundry additive said to wash UV protection right into clothing, blocking more than 96% of the sun’s harmful rays from reaching the skin. Sun Guard washes in a UPF of 30 and provides continuous protection against damaging rays for 20 washes or more. Rit Sun Guard is sold in 1-oz. single-wash packages.
