● INDONESIA: Unilever Indonesia executives plan to increase
the company’s exports to 15% of its total sales, from a current
6%, during the next three to five years.
Plans are in the works to complete a new plant in
Cikarang, West Java, next year, according to Unilever executives.
Unilever currently operates five personal care product
plants in West Java and two in East Java.
In addition to the new plant, Unilever Indonesia will
invest about $500 million during the next 10 years to further
expand the company’s Indonesian business.
