l Uniqema, New Castle, DE, plans to close its Paterson, NJ site, which employs 96 people, and will transfer its technical and manufacturing capabilities to an expanded facility at Atlas Point, New Castle, DE. Executives said the site is strategically located next to Uniqema’s regional research and development facilities and its U.S. headquarters. The Atlas Point plant is one of the company’s key manufacturing operations. The Paterson site manufactures anionic, cationic and amphoteric surfactants as well as phospholipids, alkanolamides, imidazolines, organosilicones, sulfosuccinates, phosphate esters and quaternaries.
