Half of men and a third of women ages 18-64 would be willing to give up sex for a drink from the fictional “Fountain of Youth,” according to a survey of 1000 adults by EuroPharma, Green Bay, WI, in February. Among those over the age of 64, 18% said coffee was more important, but in all age groups, 15% would willingly give up dessert and chocolate for a sip of the youthful nectar. However, 13% said they would not give up anything for the drink. More than half admitted to being somewhat to very concerned about protecting their bodies against the signs and effects of aging. Sagging skin was the greatest concern for respondents ages 18-24 and wrinkles for 65-and-older, while hair loss and graying were the top anguishes for men at 18%.
