Degussa’s Thiourea Dioxide Business Bought by Wego

Wego Chemical & Mineral Corp. purchased Degussa’s thiourea dioxide business, making Wego the largest producer and direct marketer of thiourea dioxide, according to executives.
Wego assumes all of the business activities associated with the worldwide sales of Degussa’s thiourea dioxide, sold under the trade names DegaFAS, DegaFAS AS, Reducing Agent F and Depilor.
Wego will transfer all of Degussa’s thiourea dioxide production and property to its own manufacturing site in Qingzhou, China. Degussa plans to halt production at its European facility by mid-year.
