Highlights were the most popular salon service in 2003, according to Sally Beauty Supply’s and Harris Interactive’s annual CelebHead survey. More than 20% of consumers ages 18-34 highlight their hair. Also, 60% of Americans visit the salon at least four times a year and 33% change their hairstyle at least once a year. Following haircuts, men most often requested a consultation.
