Two Japanese researchers who developed an environmentally-friendly anti-freeze agent from a glycerine derivative received the Soap and Detergent Association’s (SDA) 2004 Glycerine Innovation award. Masahiko Fukayama and Noriko Fujio, researchers with Tokyo-based NOF Corp., received a $3,000 honoraria at the 2004 annual meeting and expo of the American Oil Chemists’ Society (AOCS) in Cincinnati, OH.
