KOREA: Cosmetic exports in Korea exceeded $101 million in 2003, up 17.3% from 2002, according to the Korea Cosmetic Industry Association. Experts said the industry’s aggressive global marketing efforts have been fruitful. Fifty companies shipped cosmetics to more than 57 countries, led by LG Household and Health Care (17%), Amore Pacific and Coreana. Much export growth was attributed to China, followed by the U.S., Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
