CHINA: The Ministry of Commerce has drafted a regulation for comment to determine the malpractice status of the cosmetology and hairdressing sector. The agency said the cosmetic surgery industry is beset by complaints. Some blame the lack of an organized institution to issue standards and regulations, according to reports. The Chinese Consumer Association said about 20,000 lawsuits are filed each year.
