Oxford Chemicals Appoints Charkit

Effective March 1, Charkit Chemical Corp., Darien, CT, is the exclusive distributor within the NAFTA region of Oxford Chemicals’ aroma chemicals for the flavor and fragrance industry. The existing sales and distribution business of Oxford Chemicals Ltd., Hartlepool, UK, handled by its subsidiary Oxford Organics Inc., Elizabeth, NJ, has transferred to Charkit.
“Oxford’s premium aroma and specialty chemicals complement the growing assembly of quality products which Charkit now offers to flavor and fragrance suppliers as well as to food, beverage and pharmaceutical manufacturers,” commented Charles Hinnant, president, Charkit.
He added that customers will benefit from the collaboration between the strong distribution channel and sales support offered by Charkit, along with Oxford Chemicals’ technical expertise in aroma chemicals.
