Symrise Announces Job Cuts

November 15, 2005

Symrise said it will eliminate 420-500 jobs worldwide. The company said market pressures in terms of process efficiency and customer service have increased dramatically.
“Today we are challenged to realize all the optimization opportunities we have as a global enterprise,” said James D. Forman, chief executive officer of Symrise.
In the first 12 months since the merger of Dragoco and Haarmann & Reimer to form Symrise, the company said it has already achieved improvements by merging processes in administration and production.
