Unilever Patents Gradual Hair Dyeing Process

Patent No. US 6,736,860 B2: Unilever HPC, Chicago, IL, was awarded a patents for a method to permanently dyeing hair that comprises subjecting the hair to a number of treatments and rinses, with a set time interval between each two consecutive treatments. The treatment comprises a mixture of dye intermediates in water and fatty alcohol at alkaline pH and an oxidizing compound in water and fatty alcohol with an acidic pH.
