U.S. Cosmetics Corp., Dayville, CT, is the new North American representative for Kokyu Alcohol Kogyu Co. Ltd. of Chiba, Japan. One major product to be featured by U.S. Cosmetics in its rollout of Kokyu Alcohol’s products is Risocast DA (hydrogenated castor oil dimer dilinoleate), a vegetable-derived material available in either a high or low molecular weight grade.
Risocast offers high gloss and water retention comparable to lanolin, company executives said. Its neutral flavor and ability to provide smooth application also makes it well suited for lipsticks.
In addition, hair care products that incorporate Risocast deliver high shine and water retention.
